The RS232 is a asynchronous serial communication system that is used to connect and control various device devices, such as computers and industrial equipment. The RS232 hardware can communicate up to 15 m (50 ft) and only use point to point between the PC serial port and the device, or 1:1 connection.
However, this product is designed to be able to be connected to multiple equipment, away from the 1:1 communication connection.
In addition, both channels of 1:2 connectivity enable the implementation of bidirectional communication.
When data is sent from two equipment to one equipment at the same time, the two data packets crash, and the equipment is equipped with a "cocking-up algorithm protocol" to prevent data loss due to data collisions.
The first of the two equipment to transmit data packets that arrive first, and the later arriving data packets are stored in separate memory buffers and then transferred data after a certain amount of downtime after the transfer of the previous data packet is completed.

The system also provides a rotary switch to set the RS232 communication speed and also serves as an RS232C repeater, which allows the connection distance of RS232 communication to be extended.

This product has an AC/DC power adapter attached. However, RS232C extension cables are not attached.
